Welcome To The Lot's Wife Website!
Lot's Wife is the student newspaper of Monash University's Clayton campus, and one of the most renowned and celebrated student newspapers in Australia. It is produced by students, for students and operates as part of the Monash Student Association. Historically the paper has a reputation for continually providing students with interesting and controversial journalism.
Lot's Wife are always looking for fresh faces to help out at the paper - whether it is someone to write a review (we have piles of free books and CDs for review), proof read, take photographs or even just provide company in the office (it can get very lonely in the MSA).

This year Lot's Wife will publish eight editions, which will be published approximately once a month. For information on editions and themes please see the current edition part of this site.
Like most student run services in Australia, the very existence of Lot's Wife is under threat due to the Liberal Government's passing of Voluntary Student Unionism (VSU) legislation. Whilst this has had serious repercussions for our publication, we should probably take a moment to spare some thoughts for other universities who have not been as fortunate as us in securing appropriate funding agreements. As a result of VSU Lot's Wife has been reduced from three full-time editors to two, and the responsibilities of the Advertising Manager have now fallen squarely on the shoulders of editors. Fortunately Lot's Wife is supported by a very loyal and enthusiastic team of sub-editors and writers.
Lot's Wife is completely free so pick up a copy next time you're around campus! It's a great way to waste time between classes or serves as good entertainment when your waiting for a bus. We guarantee you'll have a laugh, learn a little and no doubt want to pick it up again! If you can'r find a copy around campus, drop by the office - we'd be more than happy to line you up with a copy!
