Set in a decaying rural district, BOG tells the story of Dolores Millwicker, who is returning to this drought-wracked wasteland after a twenty year absence, and is greeted with hostility by her old friends and family: an introverted gay bachelor with allergic dermatitis, an overbearing zealot who poses as a priest and slurps soft-chocolates the church confession booth, two brutish farmers who pit their paint-sniffing sons against each other in a football match, a hobbling, couch-ridden, TV addicted mother of five, and a painfully timid woman who dreams of a better life as a Galapagos tortoise! The "feel-good" play of the year!
